Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles là phiên bản làm lại (remaster) mới nhất của huyền thoại chiến thuật Final Fantasy Tactics, được Square Enix công bố ra mắt vào ngày 30 tháng 9 năm 2025. Trò chơi mang người chơi trở lại vương quốc Ivalice, nơi những âm mưu chính trị, tôn giáo và chiến tranh đan xen tạo nên một trong những câu chuyện sâu sắc nhất của dòng game Final Fantasy. Bối cảnh diễn ra sau Chiến tranh Năm Mươi (Fifty Years’ War), khi nhà vua băng hà, để lại ngai vàng cho một đứa trẻ hai tuổi. Hai thế lực lớn – Sư tử Đen và Sư tử Trắng – lao vào cuộc tranh giành quyền lực, kéo theo hàng ngàn sinh mạng và sự sụp đổ của trật tự cũ. Trong cơn hỗn loạn ấy, người chơi theo chân Ramza Beoulve, một quý tộc trẻ mang trong mình lý tưởng công bằng, nhưng dần bị cuốn vào vòng xoáy mưu đồ và những bí ẩn xoay quanh các thế lực siêu nhiên của Ivalice. Phiên bản The Ivalice Chronicles được chia thành hai chế độ: Enhanced Mode: tái tạo toàn bộ bằng đồ họa HD, cắt cảnh điện ảnh, lồng tiếng nhân vật và các cải tiến chất lượng sống hiện đại. Classic Mode: giữ nguyên phong cách pixel gốc của bản 1997, nhưng bổ sung tính năng auto save, giao diện thân thiện và tốc độ xử lý nhanh hơn. Lối chơi vẫn trung thành với phong cách chiến thuật theo lượt (turn-based strategy) trên bản đồ dạng ô vuông isometric. Người chơi có thể huấn luyện, tuyển mộ và tùy chỉnh đội hình từ hơn 20 lớp nghề (job class) như Knight, Monk, Summoner, Dragoon, Time Mage... Mỗi lựa chọn chiến thuật đều có thể thay đổi hoàn toàn cục diện trận chiến. Với The Ivalice Chronicles, Square Enix không chỉ hồi sinh một tượng đài game chiến thuật mà còn tái hiện tinh thần của một thế giới đầy triết lý, danh dự và bi kịch — nơi mỗi quyết định nhỏ đều có thể định đoạt số phận của cả một vương quốc.
