Dragon's Devil Fruit has already been revealed by Oda in One Piece. Many fans have missed the clues.
One Piece finally being in the final saga means that the biggest and most powerful characters are finally going to be making their move, and that also includes the leader of the Revolutionary Army and Luffy's very own father, Monkey D. Dragon. It is quite clear in the story that Dragon is incredibly important and that his true value will be revealed by Oda in the Final Saga, when the war against the World Government finally begins. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Dragon in action. More than that, his abilities are one of the most discussed points of One Piece.
Surprisingly, Dragon's Devil Fruit abilities aren't as big a secret as fans would think. In fact, Oda already showed Dragon using his Devil Fruit powers around 26 years ago, which everyone just happened to miss. More recently, around 10 years ago, Oda once again showed Dragon using his ability, and it is quite clear to see that he carries a strong ability that can manipulate the weather itself in many ways.
Monkey D. Dragon being a Devil Fruit user shouldn't come as a surprise to any fan of One Piece. Dragon is incredibly powerful and he will surely have access to strong Haki, but he won't just be reliant on Haki alone. Fans know for a fact that Dragon has a Devil Fruit and this is simply because he showed his ability quite clearly in the story 26 years ago. When Dragon first appeared in Loguetown, the air pressure dropped suddenly and rapidly, such that Nami could immediately tell that a storm was on the way. He then went on to save Luffy from execution, but to do so, Dragon had to rely on his Devil Fruit powers, which most fans never noticed.
In One Piece chapter 100, Oda clearly shows Dragon using a very powerful Devil Fruit ability. While the fruit itself remains unknown, the ability that he uses is called “Wind Blast” in the English translation. This ability summons strong gusts of wind and blows away all the Marines. The power of this blast is such that it is felt over the entire of Loguetown, and that's an immensely powerful skill. From this chapter, it is quite clear that Dragon can manipulate winds easily.
The very first ability that Dragon used in the story with his Devil Fruit was a lightning strike to save Luffy. With his fruit, he used a powerful ability to strike Buggy and electrocute him. At the same time, Luffy was freed and began to continue his journey. This clearly means that Dragon's Devil Fruit doesn't just offer the power to manipulate winds, but also gives him the ability to control other aspects of nature, such as lightning strikes, and even air pressure manipulation, or summoning thunderclouds. The best fit for this would be the Storm Storm Fruit, which would fit into the Logia class of One Piece.
While few fans noticed Dragon using his Devil Fruit ability in One Piece chapter 100, 26 years ago, even fewer would've noticed him using it 10 years ago during the Dressrosa arc. In One Piece chapter 794, Dragon saves Sabo from his death, and he then carries him from the middle of the ocean all the way to Wind Granma, his flagship. Dragon is seen emitting an aura, which suggests he just transformed into his human form.
This also means Dragon's Devil Fruit allows him to fly across the sky, and whatever that ability is fits either into the Logia or the Mythical Zoan class. Dragon either has the power of the Rain God, or his ability is the Logia type Storm Storm Fruit. Of course, at the end of the day, the name matters little. What truly matters is its capability and most fans don't even realize that they've seen big glimpses of it being used long ago.
