Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is home an incredibly powerful starter weapon that makes one of the game's Wildcards a must-have for most classes.
Call of Duty has had more than its fair share of overpowered weapons at launch. Call of Duty: Black Ops' FAMAS, Modern Warfare 2's Akimbo Model 1887s, and World at War's MP40 were all pretty busted during their respective titles' launch window, and now, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is putting forward its own overpowered day-one weapon.
As long-time fans have come to expect, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's launch day meta is dominated by assault rifles and SMGs. The Dravec 45 and Ryden 45K both offer an astounding rate-of-fire, while the M15 Mod 0 and Peacekeeper Mk1 are ideal all-rounders. But there's one particularly OP Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 weapon that's so good it warrants the use of a specific Wildcard.
Available from the get-go and customizable from level 4 onward, the M10 Breacher is undoubtedly the most powerful shotgun in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and arguably one of the best shotguns in Call of Duty history. What sets the M10 Breacher apart from the later-unlocked Echo 12 is its charge feature, which allows players to hold down the trigger to concentrate fire and reduce the spread of a burst. This burst almost always results in a one-shot kill at close range.
But despite its undeniable stopping-power, the M10 Breacher shouldn't be a player's sole primary weapon. Like most shotguns in Call of Duty history, the M10 Breacher is designed first and foremost for close-range combat, and its effectiveness falls dramatically at anything beyond that, even with the tighter spread granted by a fully-charged burst. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's M10 Breacher is best used in specific situations as a secondary weapon, and thankfully, there's an iconic Call of Duty Wildcard that lets players do just that.
Introduced all the way back in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the Overkill Wildcard has been a staple of the franchise since 2012. In Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, Overkill is unlocked at level 20, when it can be used by players to equip a primary weapon as their secondary. This Wildcard is more essential than ever in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, with the M10 Breacher being the perfect secondary weapon for just about any class. That said, the best Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 loadouts are those that pair the M10 Breacher with a mid-range weapon like an assault rifle or one of the game's better marksman rifles, such as the M8A1.
The best Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 M10 Breacher attachments are those that decrease the weapon's sprint-to-fire, aim-down-sights, and charge time, while increasing the weapon's damage output, rate-of-fire, and accuracy, which all of the attachments listed above should achieve. When it comes to the best Perks to pair with the M10 Breacher, it's essentially up to the player's discretion. That said, Gung Ho is a good choice for Perk Slot 1, as it allows players to charge and fire the M10 Breacher while sprinting. Fast Hands is also a good choice for Perk Slot 2 if players are running an Overkill loadout, as it will let them swap between the M10 and an AR or marksman rifle much faster.
