- While airborne, Rathian will flap its wing once, and then reposition itself to face a hunter attacking it.
- The Rathian will let out a roar while its wings are higher than its body. After a quick pause, it will charge forward and ram its head and body against hunters. Beware of the tail as it also likes to swing it around while doing this attack.
- While airborne, Rathian will swoop down with its mouth open as it hovers above Hunters. It will attempt to ram its body or legs onto its targets.
- While standing on its hind legs, Rathian raises its head in a small arc from its right, going upward. As it swings its head downward, it will unleash a fiery breath in 3 directions: Center, Left, and Right. The fire will disperse after a few seconds.
- While the fire is forming inside its mouth, the Rathian will take a step back as it faces the ground and raise both wings. After a quick pause, it will unleash a Fireball directly in front of it. This attack has a large AoE and will explode upon reaching its target. This attack can inflict Fireblight. When enraged, Rathian can follow up with the Fiery Breath move.
- This is a classic move from every Rathian in Monster Hunter. While still on the ground, Rathian can be seen with glowing orange inside her mouth. Shortly after, she will flap her wings, and use the momentum to somersault, followed quickly by a Tail Whip. The Rathian in MH Wilds can repeat this move by repositioning herself, then whipping its tail forward, swinging it back, somersaulting, and finishing the move with a Tail Whip.
- While on air, Rathian will swing her tail backward and then forward to hit targets.
- While the Rathian is standing on its hind legs, it will pull back its head with its mouth open. After a quick pause, it will ram its head towards a target. The Head of Rathian in MH Wilds has a sharp claw sticking out from its chin.
