With God of War Laufey set to arrive on PlayStation 5 on February 16, 2027, fans are piecing together the god of war laufey cast ahead of launch. The game hasn't released yet, so not every role has been detailed publicly, but several key names are already confirmed. This article covers who plays Faye, which God of War veterans are returning, and which roles remain unconfirmed.
Who Plays Faye (Laufey) in God of War Laufey?
Deborah Ann Woll plays Laufey, better known to fans as Faye, taking the character into a leading role for the first time. Woll previously voiced Faye in God of War Ragnarök and reprises the part for God of War Laufey (Deborah Ann Woll — Wikipedia, God of War Laufey — Wikipedia).
Speaking to SciFiNow at San Diego Comic-Con Málaga, Woll called God of War Laufey her "favourite without question" among all the jobs she has had in her career (SciFiNow). She also said she had recently wrapped both performance capture and voice-over work on the game, and that she "had to record all of the deaths."
Returning and New God of War Laufey Cast Members
Alongside Woll, a small number of other cast members have been confirmed. Wikipedia's entry for the game lists Christopher Judge as Kratos, Faye's husband, though Kratos is not the main character this time (God of War Laufey — Wikipedia).
Two new companion characters have also been cast. Jack Quaid plays Phranque, a curious cosmic cube who doesn't remember his past, and Perlina Lau plays Rue, an enchanted ribbon tasked with guarding a powerful sword that becomes Faye's main weapon (God of War Laufey — Wikipedia). SciFiNow reports that Lau was flown from New Zealand to perform alongside Woll, even though Rue has no face or mouth (SciFiNow).
Beyond these four, no other actors are named in the sources cited here, including for the antagonists Sekhmet and Begtse, so treat any other casting claims as unconfirmed for now.
Is There Any Connection to Laufey the Singer?
No. Laufey the Icelandic-Chinese singer-songwriter shares a name with the God of War character but has no confirmed connection to the game or its cast.
