Xu Wu

Guide and Information

Cephalopod predators whose prey include Guardian monsters. The mucus secreted from their tentacles hardens quickly into sharp edges that resemble blades or spears, which is why some call Xu Wu the "Piercing Assassin." The sizable mouth hidden on their underside allows them to devour even rather large prey.

Attacks

Extended Thrust Combo -

Using one of its tentacles, it will grab an item from the ground. By extending one of its tentacles, it will slam it onto the ground in front of it, followed by a quick 360 spin. Once it's facing forward again, it will raise one tentacle from its left to thrust forward, and then switch to a tentacle on its right to do another thrust.

Jet Dive -

The Xu Wu will gather its tentacles under it and will use them to propel itself away from hunters. While mid-air, it will release dart-like projectiles toward its original position.

Spin Maneuver Combo -

The Xu Wu will let out a low growl as it gathers its tentacles under its body. It will spin away from the hunters and will start moving its tentacles wildly. After a while, it will slam one of its tentacles, followed up with a swing from another tentacle. Using the momentum from the swing, it will wrap all of its tentacles around its head part, and use it to propel itself to another location.

Sweep and Strike Combo -

While facing the Xu Wu, it will start to move one of the tentacles on the right and swing it at a target, followed by a left sweep, and an extended tentacle slam in front of it.

Tentacle Dive -

The Xu Wu will slide away from battle and will gather its tentacles to thrust itself towards a target, before reaching the target, it will extend one of its tentacles to attack.

Tentacle Grab

- The Xu Wu will extend one of its tentacles to grab a nearby item.

Tentacle Reach -

While stationary, the Xu Wu will extend one of its tentacles in front of it, and will use it to grab onto the ground to propel itself forward.

Tentacle Slam -

While in place, the Xu Wu will slowly raise all of its tentacles covering its head part, and pause for a few seconds. Then, it will use about 4 Tentacles to slam a target.

Tentacle Swing

- The Xu Wu will raise one of its tentacles behind its top part and will pause for a few seconds. After a while, it will swing its tentacle across the ground. Hunters can get blown away when hit directly by this attack.

Tentacle Thrust -

The Xu Wu will start waving one of its tentacles near its face, and will quickly extend it to thrust toward a target. This attack has a long reach.

Throw Attack

- Using an item from the nearby surroundings, the Xu Wu will swing it at a target. The item will immediately break after the attack.
