While not dealing high damage, this spell is quite useful in certain situations due to its special features:Firstly and obviously it is a viable strategy against shield bearing enemies, since it negates their block due to a strike from behind. Knights and other enemies with their shields up, who would tank a lot of damage from the front, can easy be attacked in their unprotected back.Secondly this spell needs no line of sight between the caster and the target to hit, only between the summoned sphere and the target, making it useful to cheese certain enemies around corners, in tight spots like stairways, etc. Also NPC invaders never seem to dodge this attack.It's downside, however, is the relatively low damage and the fact, that the attack itself can be dodged quite easily by agile enemies and players.
Most, if not all enemies, that are prone to dodging spells, such as NPC invaders, Lion Guards, etc., will not dodge this spell. This allows for effective sniping of targets that would otherwise evade other spells.
